China has challenged US tariffs imposed last month on most solar panels and is seeking compensation from President Donald Trump’s government in petitions filed with the World Trade Organization (WTO).
China contends the tariffs are inconsistent with international trade rules.
There was no immediate comment by the Trump administration in response to China’s move.
The WTO is an intergovernmental organization with headquarters in Geneva.
