The UK offshore wind industry is calling on the country's government to considerably “scale up” its growth ambitions for the sector, to allow an additional 24GW of capacity to be built by 2030.

Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC) co-chair and Orsted’s UK country manager Benj Sykes said the industry is looking for the government to increase its targets for offshore wind as part of a so-called 'sector deal' it hopes to secure by mid-year.
