Italian offshore contractor Prysmian has landed the deal to supply cabling that will link Scotland’s pioneering 50MW Kincardine floating wind array to the UK grid.

The order, awarded by lead developer Cobra Wind International (CWI), will encompass design and delivery of two export lines as well as inter-array cables for the project, located 15km offshore from Aberdeen, with installation slated “during 2018 and 2019”.
