GE Renewable Energy has signed a contract with Ukrainian energy company DTEK to supply and install 26 of its 3MW turbines for the first phase of the 200MW Primorskaya wind project in the country's Zaporizhia region.

The turbines are slated to be installed by the end of this year and will also be maintained by GE.

“GE Renewable Energy is pleased to work with DTEK, the largest independent power producer and leader in the renewable energy sector in Ukraine, on this exciting project,” Pete McCabe, chief executive of GE’s onshore wind business, said.
