BNEF sees 115GW offshore wind by 2030 as China takes lead

Offshore wind will grow by an annual compound rate of 16% between 2017 and 2030 to hit 115GW, according to latest forecasts from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF).

The push towards that total – up from the current 17.6GW – will be driven by offshore wind powerhouses the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and China, with France also coming into play.
