Norwegian state-owned oil company Statoil has entered the keenly-watched zero-subsidy offshore wind tender for the Hollandse Kust South 1&2 project in the Dutch North Sea, following Swedish utility Vattenfall's own bid last week.

The tendering round for the up to 760MW zone ended this afternoon. It is not clear whether further companies are taking part, but German utility EnBW acknowledged that it had set up a Dutch subsidiary earlier this year for possible bids in auctions for wind at sea in the Netherlands.
