Wyoming’s legislative Joint Revenue Committee has voted down a motion to reintroduce a proposal to quadruple the $1/MWh state tax on wind energy production.
The move, which was welcomed by the wind industry, means that the committee will not sponsor a draft bill in the upcoming 2018 budget session, leaving proponents of a tax increase to see if they can find sponsors for an eventual bill.
