Italian cabling giant Prysmian has launched a new service out of its UK base to better manage underwater export and inter-array line faults, as part of its expanding offering for the European offshore wind industry.

The Milan-headquartered group has dovetailed its monitoring and maintenance services to form the Power Link Cable Solutions (PLCS) division, which will provide “comprehensive” coverage of cable fault detection and recovery and repair work that aims to greatly reduce downtime and operation and maintenance (O&M) costs.
