The US Senate narrowly advanced a massive bill overhauling the nation’s tax laws that has strong implications for the wind industry, as majority Republicans in both houses of Congress now look to reconcile competing versions by Christmas.
The first step towards reaching a landmark agreement comes this week as leaders in the House of Representatives and Senate will name official negotiators to a conference committee, whose members will be under enormous pressure to quickly hammer out a deal.
