Mexico’s third clean-energy auction saw its average headline price fall 39% on last year's tender to $20.57/MWh after bidding dominated by large global players such as Enel, Engie and Canadian Solar, according to preliminary government results.

Solar edged out wind as the dominant renewable generator in the auction, in which bidders competed for 15-year US dollar-denominated PPAs and 20-year tradable clean energy certificates (CELs).
