US Senate tax bill would preserve wind PTC phase-out terms

The US Senate’s majority Republicans have issued their bill to overhaul the federal tax code that preserves terms agreed in 2015 for a five-year phase out this decade of the production tax credit, the wind industry’s main fiscal incentive.

The 253-page Tax Cuts and Jobs Act does not mention the PTC, unlike tax reform legislation proposed by Republicans in the House of Representatives.
