Developer Lincoln Clean Energy’s 250MW Willow Springs project in north-central Texas has reached commercial operation, bringing total wind power capacity it has brought online this year to 503MW.

Willow Springs, along with the earlier completed 253MW Amazon Wind Farm Texas, will generate electric power for an equivalent 180,000 homes each year. Both utilize GE turbines.

Since being acquired by New York-based I Squared Capital in January 2016, Lincoln has obtained a strong injection of development capital and sponsor equity.
