Newly-formed wind power giant Siemens Gamesa announced a restructuring that will affect up to 6,000 staff and a major onshore product portfolio slim-down, as it unveiled another tough set of financial results overshadowed by the slowdown in the Indian market.

Siemens Gamesa – formed earlier this year by the merger of the former Siemens Wind and Gamesa groups – told investors the employees affected by the restructuring would span 24 countries over the next three years, with 700 of the posts affected already announced.
