Egyptian construction company Orascom, France’s Engie and Japanese player Toyota Tsusho Corporation have inked a deal to develop a 250MW wind farm in Egypt.

The consortium, which will also build and operate the project, was awarded the contract by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

The wind farm will be located in the Egypt’s Ras Ghareb region.
