Electricity output from renewable sources at green energy giant Iberdrola fell by 12.2% to 38,428GWh during the first nine months of 2017, dragged down mostly by a plunge in hydro power production in its Spanish home market.

The utility’s world-wide hydro-electric power output fell 30.1% to 12,600GWh compared to the first nine months of 2016, caused by a 57.6% plunge in Spanish hydro output due to low water reservoir levels caused by a severe drought this year.
