Recent developments in US offshore wind look to be proving the naysayers wrong, with the market patently ramping up due to the ambitions of New York, Massachusetts and most recently North Carolina. What is your view of the current state of the US offshore wind industry?

To finally see turbines in the water, to see the New Bedford [offshore wind construction] terminal taking shape [in Massachusetts], to see policies being formalised up and down the east and west coasts that are really driving demand for this ocean energy resource — and then to see progress on the Leedco [Icebreaker] project in Lake Erie and so on — this is a national story now that will have the real potential...
