The gathering momentum in Chinese offshore wind was underlined this week as blade-maker LM Wind Power announced link-ups with major turbine OEMs targeting the burgeoning sector.

The GE-owned company will expand its production facility in Jiangsu, China, after signing a deal with Chinese OEM Envision to develop a 71.8-metre offshore wind turbine blade.

LM Wind Power said the Jiangyin facility will grow by 50% as a result of the agreement to develop the blade for Envision’s 4.5MW
