Dominion Energy has launched a request for proposals that could result in construction of the first wind farm in Virginia, one of only nine US states without installed capacity.

The utility company is seeking bids for 300MW of onshore wind and solar power capacity and environmental attributes including renewable energy certificates.

Developers must locate projects in Virginia and can be 10MW (ac for solar) to 150MW in size and be interconnected to Dominion Energy Virginia's transmission and/or distribution system.
