Oklahoma’s legislature is considering whether to place restrictions on further wind development in areas of the state where US Air Force bases conduct training exercises.

The move follows action by Texas and North Carolina to address concerns over alleged wind industry interference with military air space.

Potential action by Oklahoma lawmakers to restrict development during the 2018 legislative session that begins in February would be another blow for the industry there, after they eliminated a $5/MWh tax credit for wind in July, more than three years early.
