Pattern Energy has completed the acquisition of a 51% interest in the 179MW Meikle wind facility in British Columbia, Canada, from Pattern Development 1.0, a developer owned by US private-equity firm Riverstone Holdings.
The yieldco paid $68m from available cash. The price represents a 10-times multiple of the five-year average for cash available for distribution (CAFD), according to Pattern Energy.
