EXCLUSIVE | Finnish wind developer and operator Suomen Hyötytuuli is planning an up-to-300MW expansion to the world’s first offshore wind array in near-Arctic conditions off Tahkoluoto island on the Finnish west coast – and has a pipeline of up to 3GW of “possible” offshore projects for the next ten years.

“The idea at the moment is to go with something like 30 turbines [for the expansion] – so something like 280-300MW – maybe 35 turbines,” Hyötytuuli’s managing director Toni Sulameri told Recharge in an interview.
