Two of five spar-buoy floating wind turbines for Statoil's landmark 30MW Buchan Deep array off Scotland are now afloat quayside at Bassoe's operations base at Stord, on the west coast of Norway.
Italian offshore contractor Saipem’s S7000 heavylift vessel completed mating of the first Siemens SWT-6.0-154 turbine-topped tower with its cylindrical steel spar substructure, delivered earlier from Navantia's Fene, Spain yard, on Sunday night, and the second today (Wednesday).
