Shake-up at Adwen as Shell said to be among potential buyers

Adwen is shaking up its top management and is gearing up to create a French pipeline and a German operations unit, as Recharge learns from industry sources that oil major Shell is among a group of suitors considering the acquisition of the offshore wind OEM from its owner Siemens Gamesa.

As part of the changes announced by the OEM, chief executive Luis Alvarez will be replaced by current chief operations officer Julian Arrillaga as of 1 July, 2017 an Adwen spokesperson said.
