Maryland on Thursday approved subsidies for 368MW of offshore wind power from projects backed by developers US Wind and Deepwater Wind, adding another big jolt of momentum to the accelerating US offshore market.
Maryland’s Public Service Commission (PSC) had been considering awarding offshore renewable energy credits (ORECs) to two competing projects, but ultimately decided to support both developers, with the ORECs worth $131.93/MWh
