The UK’s snap general election called by Prime Minister Theresa May for 8 June shouldn’t disrupt plans for the country’s second Contracts for Difference (CfD) renewables auction round, which closes for applications at the end of this week.

Industry body RenewableUK told Recharge that it doesn’t have concerns the auction might be delayed, with bids being considered and the first announcement not expected until 21 or 22 June at the earliest.
