LM Wind Power has laid the foundation stone of its new offshore wind blade factory in Cherbourg, France, that is expected to expand to a capacity between 1.2-2GW and is another boost for the country’s growing offshore sector.
“The offshore market in Europe provides significant opportunities for growth in the coming years and we are proud to be right at the center of that development with this new Cherbourg blade plant,” LM Wind Power chief executive Marc de Jong said.
