Wind and solar remained two of the fastest growing sectors in the US energy industry last year, bolstering an advantageous talking point for the renewables industry ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Despite ongoing intense price pressure across energy markets, energy-related jobs grew 5% last year in the US, representing 300,000 new jobs in total, or roughly 14% of all new jobs created in the country, according to new figures from the US Department of Energy (DOE).
