The Trianel network of municipal utilities and regional utility EWE have taken a preliminary investment decision for the 200MW Trianel Windpark Borkum 2 (TWB 2) offshore array, one of the last projects in Germany still due to be built without the support level being determined by tenders.
The two companies that each hold 37.5% in the project expect to take a final investment decision (FID) during the first half of 2017.
