The UK government today set out the timetable for its long-awaited second contracts-for-difference (CfD) auction for renewables support, including offshore wind.
The round – which will open for applications in April 2017 – offers £290m ($360m) of annual support for two delivery periods which the UK’s Department of Business, Energy, Innovation and Skills (DBEIS) said would underpin generation able to power a million British homes.
