The PPA with Dow is NRG’s second direct corporate off-take agreement for a wind project, following a previous deal with Unilever, a spokesman confirms to Recharge.
NRG – a top five owner of US wind capacity – has also signed several solar deals with corporate buyers, including Cisco Systems and, most recently, Whole Foods Market.
The Goat Mountain project, located north of San Angelo, in central Texas, was built in two phases in 2008-2009, using a combination of Mitsubishi 1MW and 2.4MW
