The Port Augusta Renewable Energy Park in the state of South Australia will be made up of 59 wind turbines and a PV array covering 4,000 hectares, said DP Energy, which tabs the cost of building the plant at $680m.
The developer said the Port Augusta project will benefit from a “unique generation profile” at the site near the city of the same name, north of Adelaide on Australia’s southern coast.
