ScottishPower Renewables, a unit of Spanish energy giant Iberdrola, said the contract award worth around €120m ($135m) followed an 18-month tendering process.
The award comes a few weeks after Navantia’s Fene shipyard in northern Spain successfully delivered the 29 jackets for the 350MW Wikinger offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, and its yard in Cadiz delivered the giant 8,500 tonnes substation.
