From 1 April the Crown Estate, which owns the UK seabed, will commence discussions with prospective developers as to “which areas are most attractive” and how they would prefer to see the zones allocated.
By the end of the year the Crown Estate will kick off a tender process, with the final development rights to be ladled out as early as spring 2012.
