The two companies will deliver and supervise the installation of the plant’s electromechanical equipment, including two 260MW Francis turbines and generators. Alstom’s share of the contract is roughly €30m, with the remainder going to Hydro China Zhongnan.
The kit will be manufactured at Alstom’s factory in Tianjin, China, with the first turbine slated to be in place by December 2014 and the second by April 2015.
