This is a major step forward for the 730-mile (1,175km), 600kV project that would have 3GW of designed carrying capacity, enough to deliver about 20,000 GWh of energy for two million homes.
It increases the likelihood that BLM will issue a right-of-way grant in the second half of this year that would allow TransWest to site the overhead line on two-thirds of the proposed route that is federal land managed principally by the agency.
