New Siemens Gamesa CEO Andreas Nauen this week spelled out to financial analysts how he plans to turn around the fortunes of the wind turbine OEM’s troubled onshore division – and why the company should remain firmly on the radar of investors backing major energy transition players.

Nauen was blunt in his assessment that things had to change at the onshore unit, most notably an end to the pursuit of volume growth “at any price or any risk” that had stored up problems at the company.
