Wind and solar have a $1 trillion investment opportunity in the Asia-Pacific region over the next decade despite headwinds from the ending of government subsidies, said Wood Mackenzie.

About 66% of an expected $1.5 trillion investment in power generation in Asia-Pacific this decade will be funnelled into PV and wind, according to latest data from the research group.

Fossil fuels will make up the remaining $500bn spent to 2030, mainly in coal and gas power generation.
