Norwegian state-owned hydropower giant Statkraft has named Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal to the post of executive vice president of its European wind and solar business.
Vartdal, who comes to the new job from Bermuda-headquartered bulk shipping company Golden Ocean following a range of management roles at Torvald Klaveness and Hydro Energi, succeeds Steinar Bysveen, who is resigning.
“I would like to thank Steinar Bysveen for his substantial contributions to Statkraft’s positive development over the past decade,” said Statkraft CEO Christian Rynning-Tønnesen.
