In January, South Korean president Moon Jae-in unveiled plans for a hydrogen economy that would see oil and coal replaced with H2.

“Across all sectors — from hydrogen’s production, storage and transport to its utilisation – new industries and jobs will be created. For our part, it will also be a golden opportunity to fundamentally transform the national energy system and secure new growth engines,” he told an audience at the industrial port city of Ulsan.
