Renewable energy will emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic positioned to expand its dominance of global power generation, with wind and solar plant capacity more than doubling to 2.7TW by 2025 en route to producing the vast majority of the world’s electricity by mid-century via an almost 16TW installed base, according to the latest calculations DNV GL Energy.
