Henrik Poulsen ruled out leading the green transition of an oil & gas major after he leaves Orsted – the former fossil player he transformed into the world’s biggest offshore wind operator.

“That’s certainly not part of my plans,” said Poulsen, who steered the evolution of former Danish oil & gas group Dong Energy into renewable champion Orsted over eight years as chief executive, before on Monday announcing he will step down by the end of January 2021 at the latest.
