Eni-owned developer Armwind has switched on the 48MW Badamsha wind farm in Kazakhstan, in the first step in the Italian oil giant’s strategic renewables-powered plans in the Central Asia nation.

Badamsha, in the Aktobe Region in the north-west of Kazakhstan, was awarded to Eni in a government auction held in 2017 along with a second same-size wind development and a 50MW PV project in Turkestan, in the south of the country.
