The international energy industry is “divided” on the impact Covid-19 will have on the global shift from fossil fuels to renewables, according to a new report from the World Energy Council (WEC), with almost half of those polled by the sector body in a membership survey expecting an acceleration of the transition, but the remainder of the belief progress will be slowed by the aftershocks of the pandemic.
