Executives from some of the biggest companies in wind power and the energy transition packed out the largest ever Recharge Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark last week.

The Summit – now firmly established as a highlight of the global renewable energy calendar – this year had a special focus on offshore wind, and took place on the eve of the WindEurope Offshore industry conference and exhibition.

Delegates at the invitation-only Summit, held at the iconic Mogens Dahl Koncertsal, heard industry big-hitters cover topics spanning finance, emerging markets, grids, innovation and digitalisation.

The overarching theme to emerge was that offshore wind has the potential to scale-up to be a powerful weapon in the fight against the climate emergency.

Recharge has convened its Summit since 2013, until last year at Holmenkollen, outside Oslo, Norway, when it was held in Hamburg Germany. The event now relocates year to year.
