BayWa re, the renewables unit of German trading company BayWa, is pushing further into the US market with the purchase of solar and energy storage provider Enable Energy.
The acquisition for an undisclosed amount pushes BayWa re’s total solar and wind pipeline to more than 5GW in the Americas.
The German company in the region already has 750MW of renewable projects under construction in Mexico, and the US states of California, North Carolina and Texas, and expects its utility-scale installations in the region to top 1GW at the end of this year.
