Renewables and infrastructure group Foresight has formed a joint venture with Island Green Power to develop a pipeline of 700MW of greenfield solar projects across the UK.
The joint venture is looking to develop five projects located in England and Wales.
Foresight told Recharge that the plants will be fully developed over the next couple of years. The projects will consider participation in government subsidy regimes such as the contract-for-difference (CfD) scheme if the opportunity presents itself, but are expected to also be attractive on an un-subsidised basis.
