French engineering group Artelia have taken over Norway’s Olav Olsen with the aim of deepening its market presence in the international offshore wind sector.

The buy-out, following Artelia’s acquisition of a majority stake in compatriot marine technical consultancy Principia earlier this year, is part of a wide strategy to expand its “expertise in civil engineering and complex onshore and offshore structures”, said Saint-Ouen-based company .
