Enel, the Italian utility group and global clean-energy powerhouse, saw its EBITDA rise 3.8% last year while its revenues ticked up 1.3%, helped by fatter margins on renewables and the consolidation of several important new businesses in Brazil and the US.

Enel posted an EBITDA of €16.3bn for the whole of 2018 on revenues of €75.6bn, according to preliminary financial results published late Wednesday in Italy.
