The supervisory board of Dutch utility Eneco has appointed former Royal Dutch Shell Vice President East, As Tempelman, as its new chief executive at a time the oil and gas sector is going through a meltdown while renewable energy is touted as a main pillar of post-Covid-19 recovery plans.
Tempelman at Shell had been responsible for integrated gas ventures in the Middle East and Asia, while Eneco is increasingly focused on renewable power.
