BlackRock has completed the first close of its third Global Renewable Power Fund (GRP III) after obtaining $1bn of commitments from institutional investors, a reflection of strong demand for renewable power assets as the global energy transition accelerates.
More than 35 institutional investors in North America, Europe and Asia made commitments in what was a record for an initial raise for a renewable power fund by BlackRock.
